4-Hour Respiratory Protection Training Course This 4-hour training course is designed to provide employees with the training requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Respiratory Protection Standard 29 CFR 1910.134. This course is required for employees who wear respirators for protection from air contaminated with harmful dusts, fogs, fumes, mists, gases, smokes, sprays or vapors. Respiratory protection training should be given to the employee prior to wearing a respirator and annually thereafter. This course will cover:
- Regulatory requirements of the OSHA standard
- Respirator use, maintenance, and storage
- Limitations and capabilities of respirators
- Inspection and user-seal checks
- Medical signs and symptoms of improper use
